I'm so very happy housing Callie for two weeks on end.

quick recap of my leisure time :

thursday - spent some time with Callie, Maragor, Magz and that other girl I should remember the name of, Zathyra, and shaliMa at Divan, as I was taking Callie to the Cadaver Inc./1349 gig immediately afterwards. although Callie ran after Tjalve who passed us outside with two of the other band members while we were sitting there at Divan, we didn't get free tickets. bummer. =) I was postitively surprised by 1349. firmly anchored in traditional BM, they somehow managed to add some newfangled vigor into the genre.and as all the gods are my witnesses, this was some fast music. don't believe Frost has ever played faster. met René as well. his humor fits very nicely into ours.

friday - first couple of beers at Zoolounge with my rather miffed workmates. from 1530. then quick dinner at home with Callie. (imagine that. home made dinner. at my place.) off to Maragor's announced vorspiel - we were lucky enough to bump into shaliMa on the train. who made for very nice company. and I got to meet Psychokira, who arrived with Kathulu. Zathyra, oddly enough, was nowhere to be found. gotham nights next. we hooked up with Korova at the station, and for once the cellar wasn't completely filled with people. met Baetylos (nice hugs), the Marquis, BadCop, Cecilia, and Maria, but Farmen had had some trouble of his own and failed to show after having left Baetylos' place.

had a good time dancing with Christine and Kathulu, mostly. both respectively and simultaneously. ;-) but Maragor, of course, was the one rocking the floor. my gods. if it wasn't for the fact that I seriously nurture deep prejudices towards dancing in time (and in line), we could have made such a show out of the moves to Basement Jaxx' Romeo (cf: Bollywood video). and the words to NIN's Closer. =) instant hit. somebody should do a combined mix of those two songs.

we figured Korova could save her taxi money and sleep over here instead. so she did. she was gone when we awoke, anyway.

saturday - we slept late. very late. managed to get up (and shower as well - no small feat, that) just before Maragor came here in the afternoon, and the three of us (and shaliMa, briefly) dined at the Tay Do Vietnamese café/restaurant at Rockefeller. wondered why Callie ordered chop suey (great SOAD song) when she apparently didn't like the sauce. Callie and I went back to my place to sleep just a little more =) while the other two visited the Alternative Fair.

in a way, I regret not going there... but it would probably be a lot like the "alternative" sections in the bookstores - mostly about therapy and suchlike. those kind of things rarely keep me interested for long. but even so, I'm positive I would have found some valuable material for inspiration there. probably in the booths Maragor dubbed "lotsa humbug," for the most part, but still. =)

rounded the evening off with meeting Maragor, Korova and Kjinge - the five of us conducting a tea party (only with coffee, after all we're Scandinavians, eh?) at my place before heading to Møllers. the two former went to the Lamb gig while we met Farmen, Aurora, B.O., and his friends. turns out Fredrik's girlfriend is Callie's former classmate and friend.

social gatherings, communication, is what our lives consist of, and mine is apparently no exception.

today - slept. made dinner together with Callie (relax, it was nothing advanced), and went to another writing night while she went visiting her parents. the writing group is making real good progress. probably gonna have another meeting on wednesday.

note:
first Tori, then Stina, with scarcely two months having passed in between. new cover album. need to check it out ASAP.

later note:
uh. suppose it's been out for three years already. my bad.

heh. Callie just arrived. leaving y'all for her now. c'ya!
