my. oh my. =)
Nov. 5th, 2001 07:08 pmdon't think anybody noticed I attended the Monster Halloween Party wearing a brand new curtain on Friday.
Sis sent my (or maybe hers now since mine was stolen and these are the replacement) black wizard's robe-a-mabobs on Wed. the hood arrived on Thurs. (separate packages, gods be thanked!) and Fri. at 1930 we were supposed to watch Sleepy Hollow.
so I took off from work like a madman as soon as I could on friday (and a little during the day, to find out where the various mail sorting facilities are located), but despite having run around half the city to track down the rest of my costume (which today the kind lady at the post office informed me was found and returned. had been stopped and repackaged because of careless wrapping. Sis fucking owes me a big one) I eventually had to face the grim realities of the matter: I had no costume.
then Callie arrived. I convinced her to help me shop a new one, i.e. the aforementioned curtain and some black eyeliner in addition. finished the shopping andthe makeup (which I entrusted to her care, knowing myself to suffer from, ah, a slight tremble on occasion) just in time to save Magz from being hit on at Nyx. somebody's gotta have a not-so-healthy crush on Kate Winslet, seeing as Magz essentially was a redhead Titanic drowning victim, complete with life belt and bluer-than-Atlantic lips.
the party was all fun, tho. danced with Magz a bit. admired the blood and gore on BadCop's ever-smiling face (and zru ze bulethoals in hees sheurt hees lefft neepel). met Kathulu. Farmen turned up sans costume, but with M. trailing behind (with costume, but sans much clothing ;-). watched Farmen giving BadCop a good hug. absolutely loved Sleepy Hollow.
the rest will have to wait, just made a very startling, but thoroughly amazing discovery. have alerted one of the implicated, but I have yet to talk to the other. oh dear oh dear. =) =) =)
