I founded a band tonight. =D

met Rex (drums) at So What! just after work. we went to their rehearsal cellar. turned out nobody but "our" band were using the place tonight.

unfortunately Farmen (bass) had to go to attend to some urgent personal matters just as Elvis (guitars) arrived with a Gibson for me. Elvis is a virtuoso. once we got him started on the right harmonics, he played doom metal like he had been breast fed it.

I do have a good feeling for this. it's gonna be a problem scheduling rehearsals, but I figure we've got a very good start in the material we've already created. hope my lyrics writing rate can catch up with the music soon. we're definitely going to need Farmen's grinding, probably on most of the songs.

after the rehearsal we hailed a cab to Patagonia. met Heidi and... OMG, forgot her name. cool anyway. BadCop called me there and told me to go to So What! where Cecilia and Lise kept him company. had another beer there, on his account for once, then I went home. meetings and stuff tomorrorow.

I'm feeling so proud. :-)

call of the wild

I felt like ggh this morning. last night forgot to set my alarm clock to account for the morning meeting I had just been made aware of. shucks. even so I showed up only 13 minutes late, having walked to work. luckily most of the day here consisted of a course, which was really just a breeze.

BadCop just passed by during one of the smoke breaks, turned out he had got himself into some trouble after I left last night. his lips were still bruised. not denying himself anything, that boy.

I'm getting in touch with Elvis after I've refined our material somewhat. we should get together at my place for composing etc. he's got a more than passable voice, too. I'm envisioning (or should that be enauditing?) weird, AIC-like vocal harmonics.

Callie is waiting for me now. she made this appointment months ago, having been raised on the Planet of the Apes TV series and movies. dunno what we're gonna do later, possibly doing Grønland or the Old Town afterwards?

we'll see. hope I can find time to polish the song material tomorrow as well...
