it was pleasant last night, all in all.

Maragor and Tommy BK popped in during the early afternoon. after having gone through the customary MTV/ZTV zapping and idle chitchat for some time, we headed out, although Callie didn't feel like joining. couldn't imagine why.

the Nick Bleed posters are nice and visible around town. I like that. =)

I dunno if I felt like having company then and there. I went out with them mainly because had almost forgotten that I was supposed to meet the board of osf around Grønland's Garden that night, until I finally checked my email and found they'd made the meeting a picnic in the Prison Park instead.. stopped by Avalon to buy Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine, which I probably will have to return today, because on the Grønland underground station I found I had no ticket to show the controllers. fortunately the man who took my name down meant I had a "strong case" to present to their appealing instance. which I have to do on Monday.

Lise V accompanied me from one penitentiary district to another - it was already past 22 and I needed to drop off my stuff at home (and visit the toilet after my unplanned bbq&beer ingestion). I decided that despite having spent lots of money already for a day I yearned to see the people who would be present at the Candlemass gig.

(apologies to Trine & Geldar, didn't see your emails until then either. at least I met Trine briefly on Thursday.)

and so I went.

arrived too late to see Honcho, but I've seen them before (this time they received very mixed reviews from the people I talked to). very few seemed to like Red Harvest's live show, finding it "unoriginal" and "boring", whereas I emphasized their groove sense as a redeeming trait (although Farmen specified that he rather liked their records, as did Kjinge (by way of SMS)). and of course the Hecto didn't like anything at all, as usual. how Hot Records could put such a very vocal disser of Alice In Chains, Slayer, and Dimmu Borgir behind the counter is mystifying to me. =)

introduced Tjalve and Aurora at last, too. unfortunately neither of them would seem to have gotten the better of each other by sight. Tjalve liked that he and I were wearing identical 1349 tees.

but Candlemass was a hoot.

put a 40-something man with the body of a barrel into black monk's robes with red inner linings. bang heads, wave arms, clap hands, and shout "heyh! heyh! heyh! heyh!" in time with him. let sizzle in monster riffs for several songs. then bring to a boil.

(and the incident with the fat Trønder onstage is not something I'm prepared to remember for all time, but I fear I'll do so anyway.)

today I want to go to the library. a couple of reasons - need to see if I can find more stuff about Raistlin's herbal tea, and an old schoolmate told me there were several interesting ads in Thursday's paper.

Callie's still sleeping after her The Sims binge last night. I've finished The Annotated Chronicles (annotations only, this time). going out now, I think.
