he's not a demonologist. not a ghost hunter or vampire fuckin' slayer. just a run-down ne'er-do-well down-on-his-luck magician. dabbling in the occult like his creator, Alan Moore. (speaking of whom, wonder whether From Hell will be doing well at the box office?) Mr. Gaiman has also nestled Constantine into his works. Constantine''s apparently not an exceptionally adept talent, either. but he's got an attitude out from the other side of Hell. that's why they call him Hellblazer.
just read Dave Gibbons' illustrated Xmas short story again, brilliantly translated by ms. Evensen. made me laugh out loud at least three times.
and you know, they're making a movie around this very gentlechap. started filming today, actually. Mr. Nicolas Cage wearing the title role mantle. directed by the same guy who did The Cell.
oh dear, I hope they do it right.

out to get meself cigs and microfood now, I should think. maybe I'm going to the library afterwards. haven' been there in over a year. (which really is a strange concept to contemplate.)
