(no subject)
Dec. 22nd, 2001 07:04 pmgot here safely this morning. just thought as I arrived at the station again last night that there might be vacant seats turning up about halfway into the voyage. and when I asked, it was. sure enough. so I caught an earlier InterCity to Lillehammer and waited there for the coupla hours it took until the night train arrived.
true to her pluck, Mother had phoned the engine driver to get someone to inform me that no buses were leaving from Sunndalsøra, which meant I had to wait for a parental pick-up in the pre-dawn hours. (no, not a truck. I don't believe in those. ;)
haven't done much today. think Sis and I were supposed to decorate cookies, but everybody seem dozy. that's okay tho, I came here primarily to relax, after all. Kjinge visited for coffee and cookies (and his xmas present) earlier. tried to see if Dez was in, but he's in Trondheim watching the FotR.
speaking of which, didn't get any decent chances of commenting it: at 180 minutes it still felt too short. that's the predominant complaint I've heard about it, and I agree. let the changes be changes. a book's a book; and a movie's a movie.
going to go watch it again. soon.
my friends: I miss you.
oh, and btw: the last entry table idea was stolen from P.G. Wodehouse's "Thank you, Jeeves" -
