for Productivity's Bane shall waken
a Magpie forth shall stand
my mailbox has a limit on 70 megs. I've managed to exceed it by 37%. that means I have some serious cleaning up to do.
finished The Return of the King this weekend. it, too, had faded somewhat with the years. not unlike the Elves with whom it concerns itself, as we are now supposedly in the Fifth Age...
what a great weekend doing nothing. the ZMR concert was very atmospheric (for an industrial band) and chock full of feel-good moments. we arrived far too late in the show, but the vorspiel was lots of fun as well.
feeling a tad unwell on Sat afternoon, I ended up doing nothing at all, save watching The Princess Bride (thanks to Bard for the tip) at Callie's place. not that I lacked offers. was particularly sorry that I had to disappoint Kjinge and Korova (and Narrenschiff, Flávia, and Burn), who waited for me at Møllers. BadCop wanted me to come to De/Vision (and so did I), but I found, somewhat unsurprisingly, that Callie topped my priorities list. the same happened yesterday, sans the slight nausea.
so my seven day hiatus was immediately followed by seven days of spending time with her. what have the discernible effects of this been?
we have both grown closer to one another.
we have seen that the risk of getting tired of the other has been reduced to the point where it's negligible.
our mutual tolerance for the quirks of the other is at the level where it can sustain a relationship for a longer period.
but to my sorrow I still haven't quite stopped feeling uneasy about it. who knows what might come?
oh, my dear old atheist religion teacher. too well I understand what you meant when you proclaimed your support for arranged marriages.
I want to be rid of my fear.
think I'll have to buy Endtyme, btw. very inspiring material.

What have you done my little spark
Cursing my name 'cause again I put you out
Falling apart, you tell yourself you are
Dreaming only of the ones who never dream of you
I'm your disappearing one
Vanish when the curtain's drawn
But I will come again and you will let me in
And you'll see I never disappear for long
Into your room I stumble now
Too tired to cower and it's too late to draw you out
And there you lie like a painting of Christ
Bleeding on the heads of the ones who nailed you down
I'm your disappearing one
Vanish when the curtain's drawn
But I will come again and you will let me in
And you'll see I never disappear for long.-- Chris Cornell, Disappearing One
