been to BadCop's birthday party. too many people for too small living room, so plan B was enforced (using their bedroom for guests as well). good.

felt a tad bad-ish about leaving this way and that, and both are good signs.

now I'm set with noodles in thermocup, flashlight in pocket, shades on head, and Lovecraft in jacket. up to the roof we go!

ok, it didn't get as dark as we had expected.

but yes, noticably less light. probably my own expectations were colored by reading H.Rider Haggard's King Solomon's Mines and Mark Twain's A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court.

friendly people provided alcohol and waffles and company on the roof. I'm finishing my cup of noodles now. I'm a happy noodle boy.
